Street Trucks of The Month

The Ranger Station – Street Trucks / Mini Trucks of The Month

From 2002 to 2013, The Ranger Station held a monthly Street Truck of The Month contest where forum members could nominate and then vote on a Ranger to be the ‘Street Truck of The Month’ (STOTM). In 2014 it was renamed to Mini Truck of The Month.

The winners would get a special Truck of The Month decal for their vehicle along with a TOTM banner under their forum username. The truck would get listed here and either have a link directing to a GeoCities or Cardomain page, a page here at The Ranger Station, or in later years a link to a build thread for their vehicle in our forum.

2014 was the final year we ran the program. The decision wasn’t because there was a shortage of great trucks. There were—and still are—plenty of amazing Rangers in the community. The problem was getting enough members to consistently nominate trucks and participate in the voting. As participation declined, it became increasingly difficult to keep the monthly feature going.

That doesn’t diminish what the feature accomplished. These photos are a snapshot of The Ranger Station’s community during an important period in the history of the site. Many of the trucks represented years of work by their owners, and the monthly contests gave members a reason to share their builds and recognize what others were doing.

Below is a list of the Truck of The Month winners. Unfortunately, some of them may be linked to a page outside of The Ranger Station that no longer work.
