Hi!I'm almost ready to pull my engine out on my 87 efi 2.3l engine.now my question is. is there anything on old wiring harness from the 2.3l i need to save to use with v8 wiring harness? or save anything from old engine for that matter?

The dash wiring
Oil pressure, white/red stripe wire
Engine temp, black/light Blue
Tach, tan/yellow

Some models have an "oil level" sensor on the oil pan, white/pink stripe wire if so equipped

Alternator or voltage regulator light green/red stripe wire, Battery Light wire, its the on/off switch for any charging system you end up using

Red/light Blue stripe wire, only has 12v with key turned to START, activates starter motor relay

Red/light Green stripe wire, has 12v with key on and in START, powers Spark system

I need to wire all these systems into sn95 harness?the rangers fuel pump relay?or do I just use the ccrm system to wire in rangers fuel pump system to it? is that pretty much everything?

Can I also wire in the electric fan to the ccrm system as well to control the fan?

Don't know what an sn95 is but the wires I listed have nothing to do with a fuel injection system, they are just for the instrument cluster and start/charge systems

Also don't know what a ccrm is either, but you can replace mechanical fan with electric on any vehicle, this change is self-contained not part of current vehicles wiring

Sn95 is a 1994 1995 Ford mustang.https://lmr.com/item/LRS-12577A/mustang-ccrm-relay-pcm-fuel-pump-fan-9400.amd this is what the sn95 has in it.constant control relay module (ccrm).

My donor 1995 mustang currently has a oem electric fan in it.i was wonder if I could wire in a aftermarket fan to that.which the ccrm controls

If its a 12volt fan on both I don't see why you couldn't use the fan you want, it does have 2 speeds

Found this for the Constant Control Relay Module, they should just call it relay box, not sure where "constant control" comes in, lol

As long as you don't exceed the AMP rating for the fan relays you should be fine, looks to be 60amps from the diagrams on that page

Found this pic with labels: https://mustangforums.com/forum/att...95-mustang-gt-ccrm-repair-image2197relays.jpg

So that fuel relay in the black box I should be able to wire in the fuel pump setup my ranger has now to the box as well u think?

Yes, just need to connect its FP 12v out to Rangers inertia switch wire

Look at the wiring diagrams on above link

R all these wires your mentioning connected to the dash wiring or main harness?

They will be in the engine wiring harness for most of them, but most come from the large firewall connector on drivers side
You will have to pull them out of the engine wiring harness loom that goes to the EFI computer
