What engine wiring is needed b4 I pull motor

The dash wires are pulled out of the engine bay harness to be used in the new harness
They are already connected to the instrument cluster in the correct location
For temp, oil, Battery light, and tach use, also oil level light if so equipped

Gotcha!I see like 4 or 5 connectors with tons of wiring.just need to splice new harness into dash after I pull off all other 4 cyl harness wires.i don't c a wire white with red strip.i do c the white with pink strip though

white/red stripe is for oil pressure, on the 2.3l it should be a shorter wire since it runs to rear of engine drivers side

If you still have 12volts you can turn on key and ground the white/pink, and see if oil gauge goes to top

Does it have a rubber push on fitting to it?

It can, pushes onto the stud type sender

Anything on the main ecm harness I need to salvage as well?

Like the relays that r on the passenger side.stuff like that?

You won't need them if you use the CCRM

I did mention the light green/red stripe wire that ran from cluster to alternator or voltage regulator right?
Its the on/off switch for the charging system/alternator
I don't think you had a Battery Light in the cluster, so this wire was just key on power, startup voltage needed to "prime" the charging system

U did mention that one.i can't see y i couldn't use the ccrm to wire all my stuff into.didn t realize how much of the ranger harness wasn't used on this v8 efi swap. Pretty much all of it except 3 or 4 wires for the dash cluster and charging system. Crazy.

So I'm getting ready to pull donor cars computer and harness out of car and was wondering how much of donor harness is needed?there seems to be quite a few connectors from one harness to the next.

Here's a few pics of what I'm talking about.it appears that the other end of harness runs to the fuse box

Which wire on the inertia switch is the power wire?pink with black strip or orange with lite blue strip?and which ever wire it is I wire in the power wire from the pump?

Usually the pink wire goes to the fuel pump
Orange comes from FP relay

So pink with black strip wire on the left of 1st pic is where I splice in power wire from fuel pump?and the orange with blue strip wire on the right goes to the pump relay?2nd pic is what they look like together in the engine bay?
