This must be a matter of where the pump came from, I have a 98 3.0 and mine bolted right in...but I have heard of people having trouble with the hoses on different years.

Sorry for the late reply. It turns out the rack in my truck has 16mm hose fittings and the pump has a 3/8" line (the shinny one on pg3 i think). Funny you responded Josh as I was already using your truck Year and make to buy hoses. It looks like your rack has a 5/16" lines going into it. Ended up going to a custom hose shop with my old hose (for the rack side) and the hose from a 94 4.0 (pump side) and for $60 they made me a perfect fitting hose. I can not believe how quite it is :) . I had the rack replaced with parts from Oriles auto parts its the same rack as b2000. when I did it the shop told me I needed new hoses. might be where I got in trouble.

Just wanted to update my progress also. I've swapped to a working pump, got the A/C compressor shimmed and the stock belt back on. I've been driving it for a few weeks now and what an improvement! Silence is golden (and duct tape is silver)
Pic is with the motor running.

Any update on how these brackets are coming and how close to "for sale" they are? Now that I have the Cooper tires on my truck, I am one part (well 2 if you include bracket and pump) away from noise levels being down to where I want.

Anyone know if "ThatGuy" is still around? I have contacted him a couple times in the last couple of weeks about getting either the saginaw pumps he had or the custom brackets he had made up.

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

I don't think you need a special bracket. Just to grind out the original bracket. Idk though, I haven't done it, but would like to sometime soon

he stays pretty busy, so he is rarely on.

Maybe I will try this in the meantime since I have the extra OEM bracket. Any thoughts on the right pump to get from the parts store?

.

The deal I had on the other pumps went bad and I only have one of them left. Been trying to source more but in the meantime I decided to do this bracket. GM style pumps are everywhere and literally can be bought for $10. Long term it would be better to finalize the bracket and get it out so everyone can do the swap if they wanted. The PSC pump I have in the photos is being run on 4 vehicles I wheel with, 2 running hydro assist and 2 full hydro so I know the pump is able to handle whatever I throw at it. Not to mention it can be purchased brand new for less than $100.

Anyone know which pump this is? Part number or what to ask for at the parts store?

Anyone know if ThatGuy is still selling either the custom bracket or the Saginaw pump that goes with the OEM bracket (or is he even on this board anymore). There really have not been any updates since the end of May 2011

Also, anyone know the model number of the PS pump he is using with the custom bracket? If that pump is available at Oreily's, I may try buying one and grinding down the extra OEM bracket I have.

This is exactly what you need to do the swap, nothing else.
