Saginaw really that simple??

Sorry, I thought it would stay. I searched 'saginaw pump replacement' and the engine came back with 9 threads. All were relevant in one way or another.

They made it!!! Finally!!! Kelvin Jackson from PSC has been working a lot on getting an adapter to make the P-Pump work on the RBV vehicles. Looks like they are well on their way. Once I hear back for him, I'll post up what he says

Edit:

Doesnt look like its the same one. I have this Saginaw setup on the yellow truck, (I'm keeping it, sorry gents) but I am trying to get them to design something that will work directly with the RBV setup since I need something for my explorer. I will update with anything I hear

I bought mine at local oriellys, came with bracket and res. Bolted right up to my 89 stang 5.0. I used a 90 crown vic pressure hose, cause the bend was a better match (when i ran a steering box).

Iirc the pump i used was off a 80's E3500 van with a 351.

And here is how you hop one up fir higher pressure and more volume. A must if you doing hyd assist or full hydro!!!
Heed the warning on drill bit size, if you drill it out to big, it will not prime up anymore ! ! (guess how i know that)

Ok, so the question is when did you buy it from ORielly's? My guess is it has been a while since the pump has been pretty much unavailable for at least a year

This sounds promising

The link shows 351 and 5.0 conversion brackets. Will those work on the 4.0 bracket?

I took the link off Sasquatch_Ryda post. I thought that is what you were talking about when you said "Edit: Doesnt look like its the same one. Yea that is what I meant. I don't know if either of those brackets will help. I just emailed them again today

I got ahold of Oriellys. I will only talk to two people about technical crap (they were both off yesterday), the rest of the employees are short timers they dont care!!!

Here is what i learned:
1. They (pump people) are out, wont have anymore ava till the get more cores!
2. If i sent them (pump people) my pump, they will rebuild it for the same price as it is to buy a rebuilt.
3. My pump has a lifetime warranty so they would rebuilt my pump for free. (or trade if one is avaliable).

I can try to go junk yardin if someone is needing one.

I'm confused about all of the hype over the reservoirs. Can't a remote reservoir be used on the saginaw pump?

Not really.... On mine the reservoir is around the whole back of the pump.
If you had the horseshoe bracket you could run the remote resi saginaw style pump.

Scooter, if you can find one at the JY, ill buy it. I need another setup for the explorer.

Will the horseshoe bracket from PSC that is made for the 5.0, will that fit the 4.0 or do you know?
