Saginaw really that simple??

Yup... I went in and ordered it by part number, not application. I should have the new cooler on tomorrow and will try it out. The pump is already installed and ready to go.

As for the PS cooler...its really a must have, especially with a front locker! Mine has been giving me trouble for quite a while. It would work great in the morning and start to fade during the day. At Moab, I boiled the fluid on the slick rock trails. Power steering fluid boils at 425 degrees! :icon_surprised: Im really going to have to keep an eye on this new pump and cooler and make sure it runs cooler than before.

Where are you located? I talked to a store here and they located the part number but were unable to find one in any store or warehouse system wide.

I am in California. There were 3 more at local stores according to them.

I just finished it today and added a cooler...its quiet and I will be wheeling saturday and see how it works.

where at in CA?

Im out in Barstow... just minutes from the Calico trails, under an hour from the Hammers and just two hours from Vegas!

not too far away, about 3 hours. Too fawking hot out there for me. I'd like to pic one of those pumps up for a spare....

All of the ones that were listed were in Riverside and other places down by San Bernardino. You could probably have them shipped down to an O'Rileys in San Diego!

I ordered one online through Napa's website. Doubt they actually have it. Assuming it gets cancelled, any chance you'd be willing to ship one for me?

pump and reservior or just the pump?

So will this pump work on a 2.8? Im running the v-belt but can get the pulley set-up from an areo star if I need to but would like to avoid that if needed...

Yes. The one off NMB2's 2.8 is now on my 4.0

Fastpacker...Im sure we could work something out!

Yup to 20-6244 was pump and metal resevoir.

Sweet. Does the saginaw have a resivor built in it or not? Amd what tools take the pully off the plastic one and put it on the saginaw? And all the original hoses hook right up to it?

Sorry to question to death, my power steering pump hates my 32 inch MT tires on dry pavement let alone out having fun.

Power steering pulley removal and installation tools are needed. You can rent them from O'Reilly's.

All hoses hook up

Reservior is the hard part to find. You can get the remanned pump from Napa. The reservior and the little adapter are the ones that are a pain to find.

Mine came with the metal resevoir attached and came from O'Rileys.

And yes, as long as you have the power steering hose that is shown in the pics in this thread, they will hook up.
