2019-2023 Ford Ranger 6-Inch Suspension Lift Buyers Guide
The 6-Inch suspension lift isn’t as popular on the 2019-2023 Ford Ranger as they were on earlier Rangers. There also isn’t as many 6-inch lift options for the 2019-2023 Ford Ranger as there are 3.5-Inch suspension lifts. Here’s a look at the different 6-Inch suspension lifts for those trying to decide on a lift.
BDS Suspension
BDS steps up the performance and capability of the 2019-2023 Ford Ranger trucks with 6-inch suspension lift kits. Designed to improve stance, performance, and capability, this kit includes everything necessary to set your truck up right with clearance for up to 35″ tires.
This kit takes advantage of BDS’s tried and true high-clearance design for improved ground clearance, strength, and offroad protection while correcting suspension and steering geometry for great on-road handling characteristics. Up front the kit utilizes high-arched 1/4-inch thick steel crossmembers, top mounted strut spacers, multipiece differential relocation brackets and skidplate designed for offroad protection. Steering geometry is corrected at the new taller ride height with a pair of massive CNC-machined ductile iron steering knuckles. These combined with the provided sway bar relocation brackets, brake line brackets, alignment cam bolts, supplied hardware and more provide a comprehensive front suspension lift ready for use and abuse.
In the rear BDS utilizes a heavy-duty replacement transfer case cross-member, high strength fabricated lift blocks and longer U-bolts to lift and level the stance along and NX2 Nitro or optional FOX 2.0 Performance Series shocks.

Important Notes
Ford is producing two knuckle/control arm configurations in 2020+ model Rangers. Cast steel knuckle-equipped models have different ball joints than models equipped with Aluminum knuckles. Be sure to verify which factory knuckle your truck has before ordering by referencing our help images when customizing your kit.
- Requires frame bracket and differential modification. If using a plasma cutter for frame bracket mod, disconnecting the battery is highly recommended.
- Stock 17-18″ wheels cannot be reinstalled.
- When balancing tires for 17-18″ wheels, wheel weights are best positioned towards the center of the wheel to avoid interference with the tie rod end.
- Rack and Pinion steering is sensitive to tire choice. Aggressive tires, smaller backspacing or tires that require several wheel weights may induce steering wheel wobble.
- Will not work on Tremor model.
