It makes my eyes water just knowing that the cost of everything is so high that I'm making a bit of the money I promised myself I'd make when I got to this age, but instead of buying a house I'll be lucky to rent something that isn't bolted to my neighbor.

Lots of reasons for rebuilding over new purchases, but my favorite is that it's  mine. Nobody's trying to shut my car off, or charge me a monthly subscription for heated seats, or use my vehicle's radio to build telemetry and user data for data brokers purchased from GM, Toyota, even the DMV in some states...

No thank you. I'll rebuild until I can't anymore, then buy myself a neon green rain suit and a Chinese motor scooter.

Don’t get me started on it all, I’m liable to climb up on my soapbox and start ranting and this forum isn’t the place for that discussion because it gets a little political although I will say that both sides are part of the problem. I’ll leave it at that.

I think when the day comes that I can’t rebuild my rigs anymore, a horse may be the practical transportation
