I always thought it was interesting that the 5.4L was standard...I mean, that's kind of a small V8 to be pushing a Super Duty plus towed weight. The 6.0 diesel was not bad, although with a high initial cost and some problem areas.
I've always wondered about the V10...anyone had any experience with it?
The 2v V-10 shares the 5.4's habit of ejecting improperly torqued spark plugs, but otherwise they will pretty much match the diesel of same year for power. Only downside is the burn gas like it is going out of style, but considering the increased maintenance costs of a diesel it is about a wash unless you tow alot for the diesels better milage to shine, for a couple trips per year and not being a dd you can't really beat them.
