Finally getting round to some body work...

Looking good. You're going to have a brand new truck before you're done. And it's going to be worth it all.

That looks vaguely familiar :icon_hornsup:

Nice work. I’d love to put a Splash bed on my 94, but “she who thinks she must be obeyed” is already too mad at what ressurecting -HER- trucklette, the 94, is going to cost… 😖

Wow! You mean to say your "significant other" is unhappy with your foolish expenditures?

That never happens on my end....:buttkick:

I bought my "trucklette" for four grand, and put about twenty more into it. It sounds crazy. I know, but now I got a brand new truck for a lot less. The steel floor in my bed had two holes. Rather than fix them, I thought about spraying a sheet of plywood with bedliner. I went whole hog instead with an oak bed which can be easiy removed.

Notice it “was” my project but -her- truck?

My daily was a lifted K3500 c&c dually. 9’ flatbed, 350/NV4500/BW4470 t-case. 10.6-11.5 mpg. Or a 1969 Dodge 318/727 at 9 mpg. 92 K1500 Z71 350/700r4/NP241 at 8 mpg. 77 F100 302/C4 at 10 mpg. 58 D300 315/4spd at 7 mpg…

Hence…. Trucklette… 😊

Exactly. Those duallies for the big jobs.

Found a hole in the lower right SC passenger side. Not my best work -- come to think of it, I've never done this before --but it was fun learning.

Getting ready to do the passenger door and maybe the bed - depending on how much "other stuff" gets in the way.
Door is ready for final paint and started scuffing the bed sides to get the clearcoat off. Not sure if I need to prime it or just hit it with the black. Figure that out when I get there.

I think I am finally done...at least for this year:

It's not perfect, but I'll work on the finish more come nest year. In the meantime it'll be parked in the barn so the cats can walk around on it :not_i:

Looking like a new truck! I bought a dirt cheap Isuzu pickup with a credit card way back when. It was rusty and dented but it got the job done. Kinda liked it, but after a few years I didn't. It just looked awful. It makes such a difference to drive something at least newer, rust free, and clean.

Looks completely stock to me. I had to look back in the thread to see what you did.

Yeah. Just minor things. Black lacquer above body line. Flat black undercoating below with matching accent work on the mirrors, grille, front bumper and lower valance. Matched the top bed rails. And finally cleaned and re-did the wheels with Dip Your Car stuff but added some metallic over the top of it. Just simple and clean.

Only thing missing is big fat LS Swap for that complete sleeper finish.
Thanks for your post(y)
