Got everything back together after a headgasket job and replacing mucho parts. I have crank but no start and I'm quite sure it's the timing/distributor/plugwire setup. I think I'm doing it right but probably not, I probably got it wrong somewhere, if anyone could help out with how to set it back to factory timing, thank you. Even my dog looked at it like, " yeah you aint got that set up right"🙏🙇‍♂️

Have you read through this tech article?

It's been a while since I did it. But, I believe base timing is set with the Spout jumper removed. On my 93, the Spout was near the ignition module up near the driver side headlight on the radiator support.

I've tried everything I could think of, so close yet so far away. Just keep getting crank no start

I once had a problem like yours after having the engine out. Ended up it was a connector where the orange weather proofing was holding the connectors apart just enough to cause no contact. A little spray lube corrected that. It took me several months to figure it out as I had taped up all connectors so I "knew" they were good....

I'll give all my connectors and check, also thinking it might be the ICM
