1987 Ranger Project

I don't have the internet speed to load all the pictures to look but is it an auto or manual T case? If manual and it's slipping out of high, been there... to adjust it pull the shifter back into 4 hi, loosen the adjuster bolts then move the shifter around until the shift link drops into the detent in the T case for 4 hi then tighten the bolts... you gotta line up the detent in the case with the stop in the shifter.
Ok thanks. Yea it’s a manual shifter. I’ll try what you suggested. This is why TRS is the best resource for anything and everything with these trucks. Appreciated.

Well winter tires rarely flatter, and I’d say it’s true for this truck as well. But if the rubber was more aggressive I’d say these wheels would look pretty good on a first gen. They are spare tire size and I can accommodate chains now if need be. They are also narrower, so maybe less mud on the sides of the truck now. 😂

While not as good as your regular set, if I saw your truck in a parking lot, I'd still stop to take a picture. It's a hell of a nice rig and those tires and wheels still look pretty darn good on it.

Winter tires aren't for looks. They are for making sure you can get where you want to go in one piece. If you need them, you need them until Spring comes and you can take them off.
