No. Haven't ridden the bike yet. Don't want to get shocked while riding. I'm waiting to see what the permanent implant is like.

We used to sell an electronic monocular magnifying device that had magnets in it that would mess with pacemakers. It was serious enough that we had to have people sign a waiver before they were allowed to buy it. Kind of a stupid concept since it's target market was old folks with vision loss - the most likely to have health conditions as well. I imagine there are a lot of things out there that can mess with that stuff.

It's coming soon. I see the surgeon next week to schedule it. I was going to ask for some kind of MSD HEI version. With the right system, I could interfere with the lawn mower instead of it interfering with me.

Progress? I finally packed my bag and came back home this evening. I will still have to go to moms house daily and coach her PT exercises, do her grocery shopping weekly, druve her to appointments and help with a few other things. But I can start getting back to my life now.

She can use a cane if she wants to. That frees up a hand to carry things like travel mugs or a plate of food. It also makes it easier for her to maneuver in the kitchen. I got her set up with easy meals to make. The biggest issues are her dementia and getting her to take walks and exercise daily in addition to the therapy exercises. She wants to be independent and be able to walk and drive. But it's a struggle to get her to exercise. If she doesn't exercise, she won't continue to heal and build strength and that independence won't happen.

Spent some time yesterday and today working in the underhood wiring harness. Much easier since I spent all that time planning and making drawings.

I have re-purposed an auxilliary relay box from the Explorer that has 6 relays. Two for headlights, high and low beams, to accomplish the headlight mod that we like around here. And the other 4 are for a trailer wiring harness. Left and right turn signals, reverse lights and parking lights. Those 4, plus a steady 12volt battery supply and a good ground will travel through a 7 conductor cable to a 7 pin round trailer connector at the rear bumper. I could add a brake controller in the future.

Now, you ask "Eric. When is the last time you towed a trailer with that truck? And what trailer requiribg a 7 pin connector do you think you will ever tow?". I don't know. Just let me have my fun. I put the multifunction switch from the Explorer on my new steering column. So it has the right connections inside and I had the wiring diagrams to figure it all out. So, while the truck is apart and it's easy to do the wiring, I'm doing it. Plus, this (mainly the better multifunction switch) now converts my original truck wiring so that I don't need the funky wiring adapters at the rear to control the trailer light assemblies that I used as tail lights on my custom bed. I get to clean up a lot of messy wiring back there. Back into a rock or tree and destrot a tail light assembly? Just stop at Harbor Freight, Northern tool, or auto parts store and buy a cheap new assembly.
