I don't know how picky you can be right now... probably whatever you can find is as good as it is going to get until things cool down.

A lower is a lower is a lower. Find one with a roll mark that you like and get it.
But good luck finding one right know, Sacramento Black Rifle in Rocklin would probably be your best bet.

Thanks guys I'm pretty new to the whole ar scene. Don't know too much about them plus I don't have much to spend. I've found a couple sites that have a couple in stock for about 300 so I didn't know if it was a good deal or not.

$300 is not a good price. Most lowers(other than the high end stuff) normally sell for about $100-$150. I'd suggest waiting for things to settle down a little.
No need to pay 3x the normal price just because of a little panic.
Check out the classified section on Calguns.net, you might find something reasonably priced.

Let's go shooting some time. I'll let you shoot mine as much as you want.:icon_thumby:

You could get in on this, may have to wait a couple of months before you get your lower though.

$150 lowers

Hi Everyone,

We are in a MASSIVE push to make as many black rifle lowers at a very fair price considering what certain lowers are going for now at $600 each on gunbroker, which is FRICKING INSANE.

Our goal is to have all of these lowers before any legislation goes into effect in July of 2013. We are guestimating that it will take 3 months past January to come up with a law to ban AR-15 from new manufacture and an 90-day notice to us to stop manufacturing.

• Aluminum: 7075-T6
•TYPE II Hardcoat Black Anodizing
•Caliber: MULTI-CAL
•You get "BOTH" sides custom laser engraved

THESE LOWERS ARE "CALIFORNIA LEGAL".

Official Model Name is: SHDW-15

So here are our rules:

1) If you want your money back and want to back out at anytime, you will be allowed a FULL 100% REFUND without any penalty. If you back out though, you can't come back in.

2) First ordered, first received. If you ordered first you receive your order first.

3) If we can't make it in time, then you get a full refund of your purchase price.

4) We will not ask for your custom EPS logo until your generic lower has been made. The lower can be laser engraved on both sides. DO NOT SEND US YOUR LOGO UNTIL WE ASK FOR IT !!! You will receive detailed instructions on how we need to have your logo sent to us with very specific requirements.

5) DO NOT HAVE A COPY OF THE FFL SENT TO US UNTIL WE CONTACT YOU AFTER WE HAVE MADE YOUR LOWER.

6) YOU NEED TO HAVE ABSOLUTELY AMAZING PATIENCE WITH US. We will be absolutely overwhelmed with responding to this offer.

7) DELIVERY TIME JUNE 30, 2013 or before

I priced out building a 6.8SPC Stag AR earlier this fall and had it all set up in a spreadsheet. IIRC the prices were the same as the .223 ones.

I show:
$300 for a complete lower
$135 stripped lower + $66 lower parts kit + $90 stock
$209 lower receiver + 90 stock

With a $595 upper the third option was the cheapest way to get a complete rifle at that time from them.
