So today I was out of town was filling up at a station i had never been to before. I put in my debit card took it out and proceeded to start filling up. After I got about $5 in the truck I realized instead of 87 being all the way to the left like usual it was in the middle. 89 was on the left 87 in the middle then 91 on the end... Not sure why they couldn't put the numbers in order like everybody else, but kinda pissed me off and so i left filling cheated and went to another station to fill the rest of the way up. Seriously just put the numbers in order like everyone else!

I've traveled all over the states and everywhere is different. I just make sure I look at what I'm doing. The hardest time to concentrate is after driving for 12 hours and it's 3 in the morning. lol

The Chevron station here is like that too. I noticed before I pumped though thinking that it was a tricky move. It probably gets people all the time.

Is it really 'tricking' you because no matter how you look at it the station is still making the same profit on a gallon of gas whether its 87 89 or 93. They pay more for the better stuff and so does the consumer.

I will not touch Arco I wont even put it in a lawn mower. I think it is mostly cause it feels like your about to get held up everytime you pull in to the crumy stations.

Aren't BP stations tied to Hugo Chavez? I had thought that was the case, and that's why I don't go there.
I filled the whole tank with 91 octane once, I was worried, but it ran fine.

I swear every station here is in a different order too... then go ahead and throw diesel in the mix and you better keep your eyes open!! I tried running 89 for a weekend and I swear I actually got WORSE mileage so I don't do that anymore... just stick to Shell or Chevron 'cause I definately got worse mileage when I was using Safeway gas...

a diesel pump's nozzle wont fit in your fuel filler. its too big, to keep people from putting diesel in their gasser. it doesnt stop people from putting unleaded in their diesel rig though. saw some lady do that once, im assuming she was driving her husbands truck.

i do run 89 in my car, only cause ive got the timing set way advanced and it detonates if i run 87. they say that running higher octane than needed may lower mileage a little because its actually harder to get the fuel to burn.
