I know a lot of guys who try to keep them really close to the doors or windshield so that people don't come back complaining about being able to see the wire if its a dealer mounting. Some guys also do it to minimize the amount of wire exposed to the elements.Yeah...factory installed Sirius antenna. My '09 has one, too.
What I wanna know is why is it there? I mean, if I ever decide to mount a CB antenna on the roof of this truck I'll be glad it's out of my way...but otherwise, it just seems like they could have put it somewhere that didn't look like it was just "slapped" on top of the truck. Centered L/R would have been my preference, either right at the front or right at the back of the roof...front's probably better, so they could have the same position for regular and extended cab.
