Not sure if this is the right place to ask.
I'm new to the forum
I will soon be starting a ranger project of my own.
Looking to take a late 80's-early 90's ranger And drop a turbo block from a ford thunderbird(87).
I want to be able to cut the rear of the cab out and connect it to the bed. Like have in the ford Broncos. My question is weather he cap will fit. If so what years are compatable.Or do I have to take the entire bed. And will the tailgate fit? Just wondering if this would be easier then cutting the back out and sealing the cap to the bed and cap
Any help is great. Thanks.

I didn't ask for your life story, just answer the question!

Uhh the bronco is significantly bigger than the ranger so I don't think this idea would work. You'd probably have better luck chopping the top of B2 and making that a removable hardtop.

I think he wants to chop the back wall out of his cab and place the shell from a Bronco on it.

No, that will not work. The fullsized Broncos are much wider than a Ranger, and even if they weren't the FSB roof shell is still shorter than a Ranger short bed by at least a foot.

And no, you can't use a Bronco II either because they didn't have the removable roof.

I know B2s don't have a removable top except the sherrod converted ones. I was saying he would have better luck chopping the top off of B2 and trying to fab that into a removable hard top.

I was telling him the top wasn't removable. Your post wasn't up yet when I started typing.
