What did you do to your Ranger today? (Part Deux!)

Today I installed a cluster with a tach. Wanted to stay with 97 as ford did that blue color for 97 only. I found a good clean cluster from a 97 explorer. Changed the mileage part and recalibrate the speedometer with gps.

In the past few weeks,

I installed a rear anti sway bar that I pieced together from 2 rangers at the pull a part.

Found a flowmaster original 40 there also. Cleaned that up and had it installed using 2.5 piping. I went back to original 40 vs the 44..I absolutely love how it sounds on these older 3.0's.

Had a rear solid glass installed.

It went to the mechanic for work to be done. Valve cover gaskets were done. Lower and upper intake gaskets replaced as some other things done for maintenance. The top end of the engine was cleaned. It will go back in soon to have the rest of the engine cleaned and degreased. Eventually will work on getting the oil pan gasket replaced.

Recently changed the transmission and rear differential using ford fluids. Used mercon 5 and 80-90.

Still doing this very slowly as the pain in my body is getting worse, always cannot afford the shop to do this. I still do things as I can, only not as I could in the past.

Regardless of the speed, it's getting done and that is all that matters.

Well, maybe that’s most of my vibration in the Choptop. Haven’t done a test drive yet. Still want to replace the hacked together crossmember, I’m getting a plan together for that, took some measurements today while I was under there. Also got some errands done, bought another blade for steel, dad’s 99 Ranger got inspected, and I grilled hot sausage for supper.

Also, unfortunately got word that a friend of mine and Paul’s, Michaela, well, her grandma passed this morning. Prayers please on that, because her family ain’t very good beyond her grandma. Her grandpa passed in a nursing home after getting the Covid vaccine back when that was a thing, not to start any argument, I’m just saying what happened. The rest of the family is mostly vultures and worse. One in particular is much, much, much worse. That’s probably closer than I should get to explaining so we will leave it there.

You don’t have to like them to pray for them. 🙏🙏

Changed air filter & washed using meguiar's gold class soap. Used invisible glass on all windows but the rear 🤷‍♂️
