Wendys...

^You have an almost botlike resume, sir!
Despite post histore, I'm still not convinced that he isn't. With his claimed resume, why would he choose or resort to working there. Then, as an employee he can't even spell the name right?

Was "I work at wendey's" supposed to be some sort of euphemism? If so it is completely lost on me.

Well... I'm not convinced either... but they made the watch list for me. I also requested a password reset for the user.

Before passing judgment... understand times are a bit rough for many people. The minimum wage here is $15 an hour and gets you zero experience from a person that is likely not to even show up. But if you do show up and have a good work ethic... $16 to $18 an hour is common. $20 if you can handle a small crew and be a key holder.

My wife oversees 50 fast serve restaurants. There are a bunch of hard working adults doing a part time job to supplement their full time paycheck to make ends meet. I wish they didn't close the location in our town... I'd go work 5 hours on both Friday and Saturday night and net myself a new truck payment.

I should clarify that my comment was made somewhat in jest. This profile and post do look suspiciously like a lot of spam bot accounts, but apparently he personally knows another forum member that does not appear to be one.

You can see an exchange between him and @red Ranger (Sarah)3.0L that seems to suggest that here: https://www.therangerstation.com/fo...really-just-want-more-hp.211719/#post-2068852

I get it...and that post you referenced had been part of my decision when I rejected the report logged against that user.

The McRibs are hot shite, on the other hand.. the processed & pressed rib sandwiches in the coolers at gas stations are usually pretty heckin good.

Back when I was in grade/high school we'd sometimes get "ribs" for lunch. It was one of these patties. I'm pretty sure they were just steeped in their own juices in the big stainless pans before being fished out and placed on the tray. They were pale grey and somehow had char marks despite probably never seeing a grill. I remember that being one of the more depressing lunch items they offered.

Same here, and that is why I never even considered trying a McRib. It might be better, but it reminds me too much of those school lunches.

For some reason the only school lunch that I want to be reminded of is the Pizza. I'm not sure if that's because they were actually good (relatively speaking), or because I haven't had a proper Pizza in the last two or three years. (Damned you diabetes.)

Besides the chicken Patty's... Those terrible rib sandwiches were my favorite thing the school ever reheated for us lol.

But nobody mentioned barbecue. We have three or four barbecue chains, one better than the next, but they’re not near as prevalent as the other fast foods.

when ever we happen to be going through atlanta, we always stop at some rsndom bbq place. Our last time was the place across from the Coca cola museum. it was set up like a bar but had good bbq.

I love stopping at bbq places. Everytime i go to a state i have not been to in a while, or never been to, the first place to eat is always bbq. And not some name brand place, it has to be some place i have never heard of so i get the bbq specific to that area.

My wife hates it because she only likes texas bbq sauce, the red sweet type. I like them all though, vinegar pork bbq, the white sauce bbq, the yellow sauce bbq, red sauce bbq, smoked bbq, chicken, beef, pork, all of it with a big ol cup of sweet tea, some cole slaw, and corn or potatoes.

Man, i am hungry now. We are supposed to go to the carolinas in december and i cannot wait to have some carolina pork bbq

what about the Brunswick stew?

After the practice wife, when I married Satan, being older our rehearsal dinner was pretty informal. I had JR’s barbecue cater it. 1/3 of our friends were from Georgia, her family was from up near Chicago and my family was from the New York area.

The barbecue, the onion rings, the whatever was fabulous, and it all went pretty quickly. And that big caterers tin full of Brunswick stew just sat there.

About 9 o’clock some folks got the nibbles again, and after a few people tried it, that thing got sucked out of the container like luggage when the door blows off a 747!

It was September 26. We went water skiing out at the lake house in the morning or day before. I had a pretty good gun collection, we went to the Riverbend gun club in the afternoon, and shot pocket 22s all the way up to a couple of AK-47’s, 44 magnum, and shotguns. Target for 10 cans, soup, cans, coffee, cans, etc., all the way up to a few 5 gallon buckets, all full of water. With those folks come from up north, you need a gun, but you can’t buy one, and of course in Georgia, can buy one at the Kroger checkout.

It was a really great wedding. Too bad the marriage sucked so bad.

I remember the pizza being ok aside from looking like a carpet sample. Then I saw them rolling a cartload of the boxes down the hall that said "IMITATION CHEESE PIZZA" in big block letters. That was the end of that.

The chicken patties were ok, they were kind of like big chicken nuggets on a bun. I'll still eat them today even though they're kind of like breaded chicken foam.

Could be worse. The pallets of boxes going into the Army chow hall in Afghanistan were marked "FOR PRISON AND MILITARY USE ONLY".

I guess they had to cover up the “NOT SUITABLE FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION” with something.

my gradeschool used that "institutional use only" - wasn't until years later that I found out what Grade F/Institutional Use Only groceries are... taco bell gets 1 grade higher for their ground meat...

IMO that one is probably easy to explain.

We call most pizzas a "<insert topping type> pizza" and this was probably no different. Most likely the pizzas they fed us back then (and maybe now) were made using "American Cheese". Legally it can't be called cheese, you'll notice on the packages that it is actually called cheese product. I like the stuff and have no problems eating it, but I've seen where a lot of cheese lovers have used this to call it fake cheese. The couldn't call it cheese pizza without potential for legal action from not clarifying that it isn't "real" cheese, ergo they added imitation to the front. So most likely the label would have been more accurately read as "IMITATION CHEESE <pause> PIZZA" or written as "PIZZA, TYPE: IMITATION CHEESE".

That's my guess anyway. Who knows what they were really feeding us back then. I think the stuff has changed, but hasn't really gotten better in the years since.
