We have three here in town and all do a good business. I am not a frequent patron but my wife goes there sometimes during her workday.
We have enough tourists passing through and snowbirds along with the static population. Heck, our Red Lobster didn't even close when they went through their bankruptcy but the one to the south of us did.
There's no shortage of restaurants in general around here. In terms of fast food, there are multiple McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy's, Arby's, and Taco Bell locations. We have a Chick-fil-a, but it's the only one in the entire county. It's always packed. But, I will say that even when the double-lane drive-thru is 20 cars deep, they do get you through quicker than expected.
Hardee's is the closest fast food place to my house. We also have Zaxby's, PDQ, Huey Magoo's, Culver's, Long John Silver's, Captain D's, Five Guys, Dairy Queen, and two Checkers locations. Both of the Checkers are closed, but it's apparently temporary for an ownership change. The word is that the franchisee is getting out and someone else is taking over. There's also a Popeye's but I won't go there, as they have frequently been cited by the board of health. Same goes for the Steak and Shake, but they changed ownership. I'm hearing good things, but I'll give it time for some positive health department inspections before we ever consider going back there.
We've got the chain sandwich shops - Subway, Firehouse, and Jersey Mike's. We have the chain pizza joints - Pizza Hut, Domino's, Little Caesar's, Papa John's, Hungry Howie's, and Marco's. We have the chain steakhouses - Outback, Longhorn, and Texas Roadhouse. We've got Carrabba's, Ruby Tuesday and Applebee's along with IHOP, Denny's, and Cracker Barrel. We have a couple regional restaurant/sports bar chains with locations here as well. An Olive Garden and a Miller's Ale house are currently under construction.
I've lost count of how many independent pizza joints and Chinese food places we have. On top of all that, there are a ton of independent sit-down restaurants.
During snowbird season, we don't even bother trying to go out to dinner unless it's late. The lines and wait times are too long. My wife will often do a dinner and a movie date night. Dinner is usually at the Texas Roadhouse which shares a parking lot with the movie theater. In the summer, we'll do dinner first and then walk across to the movie theater. Until the snowbirds leave, we do the movie first and then have dinner later at 8 or 9 PM.
