Good luck finding a JK D44 for under a grand, though. Then you still have a full-width D44 with auto hubs and a weak ass housing.
I'd rather spend $150 for a junk yard Bronco D44, rebuild it, regear it, weld the spiders, and still come out ahead of a worn out JK D44. In fact, I'm looking into it as an option for my 2012 JKU.
