I hear they make nice boat anchors!! :icon_rofl:

Just about any motor and be swapped in any bay w/ some planning. The first "issue" w/ your chubby motra is the distributor being in the rear. This may require the motor being set to the front a hair more than a Ford motor. Set it in on a lift just to hover w/ shorty headers or mani's in place...that will give you a real good idea of what other issues may arise.

i have his e-mail some where..........was going to buy a ranger body from him but was to far to make the haul.
super nice guy...............let me know if you want it,i dont think he would mind at all.

This truck attended a TRS meet in 2003. There was a link on the magazine page that went to the Event page and it had the board names of the participants. Also, he is mentioned in the Offroad Adventures magazine if you can find that page in their archives. I have the link somewhere.

I just finished a 305 swap in my 86 Ranger. It was pretty easy excpet for the distributor, the rad mounting, the headers. The motor was from an 83 Grand Prix that I had sitting around so i rebuilt it and slid it in. I just welded the original motor mounts to the frame. The motor can't come forward too much so I just modified the firewall a bit right behind the distributor. I had to cut a little of the frame out on the passenger side to fit the exhaust out. And by the way...I smoked my buddies 84 Mustang HO. 305s have way more power then the 302s. Good luck with your swap though.

The sad thing is, the die hard Chevy people I know,
know better than to think 305 power is actually something. :icon_thumby:

IMO, Any car I've been in with a stock 305 was a turd. I wouldn't even mess with one, better off just sending it to the recycler. I have had a 327 that was pretty fast, but it still wasn't all that.

Tis a Ranger.............

That doesn't look like a Ranger.
=================================================
It's a gen 1 or 2 Ranger............can tell from the radiator support & the firewall (AC/heater box area).

Been slammed obviously with the right front tire bein that far into the fenderwell.........YUK IMO!
