Hey I have a 98 ford ranger that I’m swapping to a solid axle. Anyway I have a lot of Chevy parts motors and axles it there any way I could make a chevy axle work main thing I’m worried about is the front drive shaft

One of these engines is in my truck....
And it's not the small block.
You will need some steering....lots of ways to do it.....Toyota box is common. I like the old school 2wd Chevy box though. Outside the frame rail makes more room for engine ... This is a ford bronco box ...fullsize 78 to 79.
This is the junk pile that engine and steering box motivate.
It's can climb over 5 foot rocks....and haul my shit 1500 miles to work...
It's a POS..... But cheap and easy ...
Most importantly...reliable ...
