another dumb idea, does that bumper have the 3 holes like a normal bumper? If so or even if it doesn't I would just bolt a receiver adapter thing to the bumper like THIS, that's what I have on my '90 bumper (not stock) and it's been plenty strong...

I did just fork over the money and ordered a hitch. It’s snowy asf in CO rn and I stopped to help a few people that were stuck get out so I just decided it would be easier just to buy it

If you don’t want to weld, you can always get the D rings that bolt on. They sell them at farm stores. If you do it this way you can add an extra plate on the back side to spread the load.

These are probably $15-$20 per and you still need the grade 8 hardware to mount.

A set of 3/4” or 1” clevis mounts would be cheaper and stronger, but with these you don’t have to weld.

I have those top bolt on d ring mounts. Add some plates behind them and they are solid pieces.
