OK, the rear drive is finally done.
i had planned to install the 4wd trans tomorrow, but the machine shop guy came up with a great idea for making a front one without getting parts ordered from the States.
We will have to use parts of a Toyota front driveshaft, but i dont mind that.
ill update that when we get some work done.
For now, here we have the rear driveshaft building pics.
Cutting the slip yoke form the old driveshaft
part 2
point of no return, cutting my stock driveshaft
test fit
and done
dont worry, ill remove that old bearing later
now, lets make a new flange, so i can bolt this thing to the trans
drilled the flange bolt holes
welded.
the trans flange is just tackled in the back. not fully welded, dont worry.
shortening the driveshaft.
this sleeve will go between the 2 parts.
done driveshaft.
total cost: 60USD.
