Ranger Sport Honduras official build thread

Just wait till those front tires are able to spin in low range.

Sweet. I'm glad its working like its supposed to for you. I would imagine it would be much more capable just having a low range, even with 2wd. I know I've been in situations where I had traction if I could creep along, but even 1st gear spins the tires too fast.

Yeah. my bro got it high centered on a loose dirt mole hill. the tires digged and the pass side one had no dirt under it. The front ones were on leveled ground, but since they didnt spin it was done lol.

low range is a huge improvement even with 2WD.
i couldnt do that climb when i had the 2wd trans.

So, how much longer until the front axle goes in? Is it set up, or does it still need some work? I'm pretty dang jealous.

I need to get the missing parts for the axle.
1 hub
1 bracket for the caliper
1 dust cover
both calipers and rotors.

and ill schedule my uncles truck to drive while mine is taken apart. since my moms truck is out of the road. Seems like the ignition coil went on that truck.

Today i messed with the dash lights and got em done.
i hope tomorrow ill be able to install the shifter.

I had a small issue. The 4H light was still lit once i shifted to 4L. it didnt look right. So after a little thinking i grabbed a 5 pin relay. hooked the ground of the 4H light to the normally closed pin, and wired the coil ground to the 4L bulb ground.
So when the 4L bulb gets on it opens the relay contact and shuts off the 4H.

also i came up to this idea.

I wouldnt worry about the dust covers personally, only thing they do is keep the brake dust off stuff (no biggy IMO) and they can get pushed into the rotors and hold stuff between them. Im not running mine and I have no problems. but my axle didnt come with them anyways and have no plans on putting them on.

Yeah. They can cause more harm than good. I don't have mine on there.

I finally installed the t case shifter.
Since i have a 2" body lift, the shifter barelly made it into the cab hahaha
ill see if we can extend it a couple inches.

Seems like my cup holder idea wont be as easy as i thought.
Ill put the rubber boots tomorrow and see what i can do.
i still need to find something to fill the floor holes.
im thinking a couple rubber stripes so the shifter moves between em.

Did a bit more on the shifters.
I tried a CV boot as a shifter boot, and seems like it doesnt look that bad.

I still need to install some rubber stripes to seal it a bit more.
I wanna leave it as sealed as possible. so no water, noise, heat or dust will come inside the cab.
Also ill see what i can do with the cupholder console thing to make it look better.
