My Son-in-Law needs help!

thanks for the prayers & good wishes...the doctor DIDN'T put a "bag" in his side---.he had enough good intestines to get them reconnected after the dr. removed the tumor.....my daughter is not in shock anymore and able to handle things better....there is enough of his liver that is still good, so in 5 weeks after he recovers from the stomach surgery, they will start him on chemotherapy to try and save the remainder of his liver...considering the alternative, Phase 1 turned out good...now--on to Phase 2--hoping his intestines stay connected....THANKS AGAIN TRS

WONDERFUL news DG, all things considered. Jesus loves you young man!

Still praying.

(Ohhhhhh....and my daughter was in a car accident during my son-in-laws surgery!!!! She was downstairs in the E.R. for 4 hours! That Devil...isn't he something!!!)

Darn...when it rains it ours!!! Hope she is ok, Bro. Glad to hear better new on the son-in-law!!! I had friends that had to wear 'The Bag'. One was only 17 when he got shot by some crazy guy he stopped to help after the crazy guy drove off the road and hit a power pole. That was back in the early 70's. The drug hangover from the 60's was effecting the crazy guy obviously.....

Wow...good to hear the SIL is on the mend...praying for you and your family to "hang in there"...

Your daughter is probably very distracted and not a good time to be dodging traffic...I know I got into a stupid accident when I was being let go from a fairly good job (that I didn't like anyway) and everything seemed to be working in the wrong sort of way for me...

Hope she is OK now...and with better news about the SIL things should smooth out a bit for them...

And as for you...keep laughing...it's the best medicine...

Thanks men.....the doc said in 10 days he will re-evaluate my SIL concerning the cancer in the liver....

this operation saved him from what would have been a fatal rupture of the intestines.

That's good news...and not so good news...prayers for a full recovery...^j^

Mark_.......you're right on all points...

UPDATE 9:40pm......the doctors are amazed at how well he is doing considering everything....even the preacher who visited tonite had to pick his jaw up off the floor when he saw my son-in-law.....So--today is another good day----considering....

I am glad your son had a successful surgery, I will pray that his body is rid of that cancer, and that his liver is saved.
Keep up the Faith...

Doctors sent him home yesterday afternoon...

He tried to do too much walking & now his stomach incision is leaking...

Their going to put him on antibiotics to get it under control....

Some people's children...hmmmm...you know what to do and I'd do it too...tie him down till he heals...or limit his attempts to try to be what he was before the operation...this has got to be the hardest thing for some people to accept...that their body is healing and they can't do it all in one day...he's probably a bit impatient but, as my mom used to say..."It's better to be patient than to be one..."

Yep....but he's a hard worker....doesn't know how to slow down...But midnite last night we had to bring him to the emergency room...his incision looked like raw steak...so the doc slowed hin down......

he'll be in the hospital until the infection goes away.

The docs sent him home.....again....with an open incision....so it will heal from the inside to the outside.....

aaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhhhhhh......(shades of combat in Nam)

we'll go see him this afternoon...he's catching up on the 3 days of NO SLEEP this time around while he was being watched every hour/cut was scrubbed 2x's a day because of the infection....

the cut looks much better now...much better....!

Great news. Still praying though.
