I started my hidden snorkle this afternoon. Got the idea from l2en from back in the day. Got everything mocked up, tomorrow I will glue, silicon and paint and make it look nice.

This isn't a full time snorkle so your truck doesn't feel bogged down. So I can run regular or close it and run through the snorkle.

Sorry for the crappy cell pics

Picked up a 3" gate valve

I will get better pics when I finish it up

I love your idea. I'm going to find this thing for mine. Is this really a valve for caravan

valve for a caravan?

i really like the idea! you deff need to get better pics..need to see wat to do for mine . how does it run now?

I haven't ran it yet, still have to silicon and glue everything up. But it will run the same with the valve open, then probably a little more sluggish running through the snorkle

had to order it online

If it runs sluggish through a 3 inch pipe, then something is wrong. It doesnt pull air fast enough to make a difference. The only thing I can think of is ambient air temp, but even still it should run better with the snorkel then without.

Only 2" pipe, can't fit a 3"

all glued in

I run a cowl snorkel on my 4.0L and there was zero difference between it and the stock set up.

I managed to...

but I guess mines a 3rd gen.

different engine setups, the way I ran it there is no way to run 3". I wouldn't even have a spot to go back into the engine bay without moving stuff around, which I didn't want to do.

Is that a flexible tube? good idea

I was just guessing about it feeling sluggish cause I haven't ran it through just the snorkle, but good to know

yep its a 3" flexible sealed tube. I attached it at one end to the abs, and the other end to another 90* coupler that connects to my snorkel. I had to squeeze to get it all in there, but it works good, I feel no effects from running the snorkel.

that would have been a good idea for behind the fender
