Dash vent fan clicking noise

Just recently got my dash vents working again after fixing a vacuum hose leak. But now the vent fan makes an annoying clicking sounds at all speeds. Has anyone ever had that issue and successfully fixed/replaced the fan? I assume some disassembly of the dash is required?

it is probably a leaf caught in the blower. it will eventually go away as the leaf disintegrates, although a removal of the blower motor assembly might not be a bad idea any ways to clean it...
