So you don't have a problem with U.N. peace keeping troops and foreign troops in our country, that are NOT pledged to uphold the constitution? Kinda like what we have done in Iraq and Afghanistan, do we agree there is a double standard?

No, not me. It'd make it more interesting really, but I don't have a problem with them being here. And I honestly couldn't see them making a difference anyways, unless they invaded the U.S. with many more troops to "keep peace". Even then, without the U.S. military backing their actions...it'd be a mimimal effect if any.

Politicians should fear both corruption in themselves, and the people that put them in office. Right now they don't fear anything, and the worse that can happen is a slap on the wrist, and possibly losing the next election. Though it seems some still magically get elected again and again, A prime example being Wis. Gov. Doyle.

It needs to end, otherwise it will keep getting progressively worse to the point where it will be near impossible to reverse it.

And yes, I do agree there is a double standard.

It would make a difference. Just the presence of the UN wouldnt change what we do. But our officials kiss the asses of the UN. They would begin to affect our policies and turn things to borderline martial law. As soon as the UN peackeeping troops walk our soil, then other countries will wnat a military presence as well. Nex thing you know we are iRaq and once other troops roll our streets then our troops HAVE to run our streets, which is against the law for regular army to patrol our soil by the way. I can guaruntee you that there will be skirmishes between our troops and their, not to mention all the nutz who will attack other troops themselves jsut based on principle, Your looking at a whole nuther bird when you allow other troops in. Theres a reason we are sovereign.

Before it gets thrown out of context, I have trained with the Germans and others at our JRTC, and other war games. But its different than them having bases.

Well, actually if I remember the laws correctly... it's not illegal to own a functional silencer.... it's just illegal to purchase (but the whole make-your-own is wide open) or use it without the proper permit. Go figure that one out.

Oh, yea, and IMHO, full auto is just a waste of ammo. Unless of course you're talking about something like a Minigun, which is just way cool. (made by GE, We bring good things to life... )

SEC. 1076. USE OF THE ARMED FORCES IN MAJOR PUBLIC EMERGENCIES.

(a) Use of the Armed Forces Authorized-

(1) IN GENERAL- Section 333 of title 10, United States Code, is amended to read as follows:

`Sec. 333. Major public emergencies; interference with State and Federal law

`(a) Use of Armed Forces in Major Public Emergencies- (1) The President may employ the armed forces, including the National Guard in Federal service, to--

`(A) restore public order and enforce the laws of the United States when, as a result of a natural disaster, epidemic, or other serious public health emergency, terrorist attack or incident, or other condition in any State or possession of the United States, the President determines that--

`(i) domestic violence has occurred to such an extent that the constituted authorities of the State or possession are incapable of maintaining public order; and

`(ii) such violence results in a condition described in paragraph (2); or

`(B) suppress, in a State, any insurrection, domestic violence, unlawful combination, or conspiracy if such insurrection, violation, combination, or conspiracy results in a condition described in paragraph (2).

`(2) A condition described in this paragraph is a condition that--

`(A) so hinders the execution of the laws of a State or possession, as applicable, and of the United States within that State or possession, that any part or class of its people is deprived of a right, privilege, immunity, or protection named in the Constitution and secured by law, and the constituted authorities of that State or possession are unable, fail, or refuse to protect that right, privilege, or immunity, or to give that protection; or

`(B) opposes or obstructs the execution of the laws of the United States or impedes the course of justice under those laws.

`(3) In any situation covered by paragraph (1)(B), the State shall be considered to have denied the equal protection of the laws secured by the Constitution.

`(b) Notice to Congress- The President shall notify Congress of the determination to exercise the authority in subsection (a)(1)(A) as soon as practicable after the determination and every 14 days thereafter during the duration of the exercise of that authority.'.

(2) PROCLAMATION TO DISPERSE- Section 334 of such title is amended by inserting `or those obstructing the enforcement of the laws' after `insurgents'.

(3) HEADING AMENDMENT- The heading of chapter 15 of such title is amended to read as follows:...



And As I was saying about the U.N. troops here in the U.S., was just a response to Oilpatch. I have no idea how many are actually in the U.S. at the moment, but I can venture a guess that it isn't enough to make a difference, unless they invaded us with many more.

There would be no reason for attacking them. And yes, I do see your point about other countries getting involved if the U.N. chose to also.

But keep in mind that our own military is still intact, and would be on our side for the most part.

It's a risk that would have to be taken if there were to be a revolution.

It could be as simple as politicians giving themselves up to be tried by the people, and restoring washington to a level of common sense without corruption. But fear is key. Without it, politicians run wild. Just look at them now...

Yes, I know I waited a while to tell what happened, but have been busy. The NRA sponsored lawyer came out to the house, looked around, and said ok after asking me what happened. He took the names of the deputies that she called on me and went and got statements from them. Then me and him went to DCF and had a sit down with this ladies supervisor. After about a 15 minute talk about the hassell, aggrevation, grief, and not to mention trying to violate my 2nd ammendment rights, the lady was called in and fired. After all that is said and done my daughters nutty ex, re called dcf on me, claiming my daughter was playing with loaded guns (she's 2 and a half), they called and said we'll call this one done if she calls again we are gonna get a warrant for her arrest for making flase claims.....

When she calls they are supposed to advise her that false claims WILL result in jailtime. But the first lady I spoke with asid florida has about 3900 false calls a year.


When I was at swift a coworker called and said I ( i have bad luck with dcf) chained my oldest to the bed and locked him in his closet. When she got there, they saw his bed at the time was matresses on the floor ebcause we had justs moved and hadnt got him bedrails yet. and his closets had no handles on them. I asked her about pressing charges and they blew me off.

Im glad you got a lawyer thouhg. I joined the north american hunt club, but the NRA is next on the list.

I live in Florida and I was one of the first to apply for one in 1995. Absolutely no problem.
For a concealed carry permit everything must be done 100% in accordance to the rules....if not, you don't get one. With all the ghetto trash moving here to Florida, a CC permit should be mandatory at 18 years of age. What I don't understand is why the topic starter had to go to countless gun safety courses........gun safety hasn't changed, has it????????

Press 1, I have so many because of my father. He was an NRA instructor, and is still huge into skeet and trap shooting. He started me going to gun safety classes when I was 5. He made me go he is my father and before I was 13 his word was law, I didn't do it, I got my butt tore up, end of story. So, everytime one of my friends went to hunter safety, or anthign like it, I went, because he said too.
