Shooting for chassis finished, truck drivable, by Trunk or Treat. Not finished, as if they ever are, but a reliable, safe project that can fill in when needed. Fully expect Shelby to steal it for her wildlife rehab, advertising.
My “spring cleaning” pseudo tool… 
Trailer U-bolts (spares), pvc scrap, and the cut down cattle rack. Puts it at a better height for my trashed lumbar spine.

I will remove the bushings before I actually strip/paint the spring pack. I might flip both the side -and- the direction when reinstalling. On my old 56 210 Delray street legal drag car, the clamps were up front. Supposed to help “load” the pack to combat wheelhop.
But thinking of just swapping sides, regular install, with the 1000# add-a-leaf slipped under the factory clamp…
Not going back on until the back of the frame is finish painted, inside and out. Brushed paint, tends to drip…

Like so… 
Decided to get the outside edge and underside painted anyway. 1 light coat, 1 heavy coat, 10 minute tack up in between. Will get 2 more coats later today. Once dry, flip it and do the inside edge and the top.
Not worried, at all, about drips, runs, sags or brush strokes. This is functional, form is secondary. But, having “uniquely” done vehicles is something I do anyway. Even though I’m in law enforcement my own self, standing out lets the locals know that I’m not doing anything they need to worry about. If they recognize me that quickly, I don’t dare…

Well, decided to quit fighting the privet, poison ivy, elms and black wanuts trying to grow around the truck.
If you have never dismantled a Ranger door, not much to them…
Cheap, heat/UV sensitive ABS plastic. Vinyl board instead of plastic sheeting for wind noise and moisture intrusion reduction.
I may still try to retrofit the 1992 doorcards. These burgundy ones are, for lack of a better term… Snafubar…

Hopefully someone is learning something from this mess…
I’ve had to slow down recently. My town job is having issues due to a major league electrical fire. And my lumbar spine is getting looked at by an orthopedic surgeon next week.
I did start cleaning up under the hood yesterday. Washer bottle/overflow tank are junk. Air intake bellows between grille and airbox is junk, will use a rubber pipe coupler and hose clamps. Several broken hard plastic vacuum lines, plan to order silicone replacements for them and the heater/coolant hoses.
Underneath, all 3 brake flex hoses are rotten. Hard lines still look new up front, a bit ugly out back. Would prefer braided flex lines, and prebent stainless for any hardlines that are suspect. All the fuel hardlines and soft jumpers are fine. Have to finish grinding out the upper shock mount rivets, add drainage slots (not holes), clean and paint, reinstall. The paint is just for corrosion resistance. Looks are secondary.

And will be starting on L’il Bit when I can get into the barn for the hood/grille that are sitting out there. Grille is cracked, but all there. Will need to order replacement head/corner assemblies, maybe tails, broken or badly faded/hazed. Truck has a lot of engine compartment “fuglies” from sitting up for several years. I know it will need a battery, starter and alternator, probably a full tune up.
Shelby wants to keep the stock deer track wheels and pop on center caps.
Her truck, her call, but she will have an earlier deer track as a spare. I have plans for both 14” steel spare wheels, upgrading a utility trailer from 8.00-12 to 205/70r14. She keeps popping the smaller size tires.
