1993 Splash build

Tacked in place with caster set. What a PITA that was (making them both the same)

Since your experimenting with the TTB, ever thought of doing a cut and turn or even custom beams?

SVT

I did, but that will come at a later point in time when I can padiddle with an extra set of beams I have :)

what did you set caster at? and how much lift are you looking to run? Take a look at my build if you want to see how I did my cut and turn....

I set caster at around 4 degrees. I will dial it in better with the alignment cams.

And Nathan, just read your whole build thread. Amazing truck so far. I dont think Im that fab saavy right now to try cut/turn beams so I'll just stick to my Skyjacker Drop brackets to be on the safe side. Im sure down the road I will try to do it.

Oh, and I just realized. The only piece I need to order yet is my coil springs. Woo!

Btw, F250 shock brackets went up in price at Ford. $17.00/piece. Vs. the 46+25 dollar S&H charge for a pair from broncograveyard.com

I know I've seen some people build their own "superrunner steering" Anybody remember who it was and if they did a writeup on it? I need to look into it.

His name is legoms013...the commuter mazda thread.

I do like the look of that Stonecrusher setup. Looks like I'll be ordering some more DOM tubing in the near future...

Just ordered my 1 ton GM TRE's. Got all 3 on RockAuto for $47.00 shipped!!!

So I did some research on BC Bronco coil springs. I talked with a tech and convinced him to give me measurements.

ID- 3.89
OD- 5.31

14.75 coils tall.

This tell me enough information to get the PPI of the coil.

I know that 1 full coil sits on the bottom and 3/4 coil sits in the bucket at the top. That leaves me with 13 FREE coils.

Then to get the mean diameter of the coil you take 5.31-3.89 = 1.42. Take 1.42 and divide that to get the thickness of the coil material (0.71). Take the ID (3.89) PLUS the thickness of the coil (0.71) and you get a mean diameter of 4.6".

Use the calculator in the Tech library with this information and it gives you a PPI of 282.41 which is PERFECT for a ranger.

oh im going to be watching this build thread. your doing exactly what i was gonna do
eb coils ext radius arms f250 shock towers ahaha
hope its not that hard
good luck and love the truck so far man :icon_cheers:
