got the truck into my buddys shop (mazdafamily on here)

and im looking into getting the knuckle re seal kits and my front gears from marlin as its all landcruiser stuff and trail gear doesnt carry landcruiser. but i seem to be blanking on what axle i have... im like 99% its a fj62 i know its a 1988 landcruiser axle and is the 9.5" ring gear. but i cant remember for sure.

as for my rear axle its outta an early 90s ifs toyota and if im not mistaken thats the 8" ring gear still?

my buddy is going to sell his mojave to a guy outta town from here and he does all custom toyotas so im gonna ask him tommorow. and from that same buddy im gonna pick up a 4 speed tranny to throw in so i can run the toyota transfercase (which i still need) so i have a centered rear output for the toyota rear axle.

Alright well I replaced my bent leaf spring today I just swapped the main leaf out with a stock one so almost all of it still the lift spring should be fine I think....

Also got the old samurai front axle pulled out and the landcruiser one in it's place just gotta get the u bolts bolted up. No pics of anything cause I wasn't intending on working it today it just kinda happened.

went out yesterday and tryed screwing around with the truck a bit. cant really do much with it scince im waiting on parts and $ lol i stole a 38 off my buddys mazda and rolled it next to it for mockup it looks awsome. also got a u bolt bent up in the right shape i just have to go get a set made but wont have $ till tuesday... im really hoping marlin answers my email some time soon to confirm that i picked the right seal kit for the front axle that way i can finalize my order

im going to try and get pics next time im up there

Alright I got my 5.29s ordered front and rear along with the set up kits. And the knuckle rebuild kits. Hopfully when I get payed Tuesday I can get the u bolts an maybe either the tcase or new steering box.

POWER STEERING FTW!! Can't wait it sucked bad enough with 33s nevermind 38s....

I did get pics but I'm waking on the email so I can put them on here

spent most of the day removing the carpet from zacs mazda and rock guarding the floor. he swamped it.... then we started grooving the 38"s

this one is about half done. we also went horizontal through all the middle of the chevron shaped blocks.

so i have to ask did you keep the ranger? are you going to fix her? or was it sent to the scrap yard or somethin

no... i tryed. i had a 93 given to me and was swapping the cabs but scince i still live at home in a subdivision it had to go... no room. which sucks

but at my house we have an 1976 lincoln continetal, my gfs 1963 m-250, my 2006 f150, dads 93 explorer and his 2000 explorer, moms accent, a 20 ft boat, a 16 ft boat, this samurai, and the matco truck... plus i still have that yellow 82 sj410 at my buddys.

i see, well you should still get another ranger! keep the sammi for offroad, make the ranger into a dd/ light offroader

Oh I'll be getting another one for sure. But it won't be a light wheeler it's gonna be what I was about to turn mine into b4 I flipped it efi 351, dana 44 beams with the Dana 50 Pig sterling rear 2" body lift fendrs cut past he bodylines and 40"s

And I'm gonna get it saftied stock so it'll be on the road. Not a dd but just enough to drive to and from trails. Trailering a dedicated off road truck is a pain somtines... Like when your just scouting for trails.

alright well still waiting on parts. i may go into town today and get u bolts bent up for this thing. then i think i may start on getting a new steering box in and start on the power steering.

havnt done much otherwise. just been grooving tires yesterday we did a set of 35s, two 44"s and i think we're on the 3rd 38" tsl thats going on the samurai

my buddy zac

what a 44" ground hawg would be like on the samurai.... it didnt even fit without anything else in the fender well lol

alright well i blew a sidewall outta my f150... and of course i have a random ass size on it right now. 275/55r17. and no one i know has an extra laying around. so i get to run my spare on the front and its taller then the others....

looking at getting either some 295/55r17s or more likley a 265/65r17. i dont want to go too tall it already has trouble towing. but at least if i go taller ill get a bit better milage at about 100kkm/h which is normally what im doing.

no progress on the samurai at all. i paid my union dues and my insurance and got a tank of gas yesterday so now im outta $ for another 2 weeks....

Still no progress haD a very busy week. Thursday was the gf's prom then friday was a party then saturday was another party then sunday i went to a mud bog.

Other then that ive been floating by on 20$ so i cant pick up a transmission tcase or anything for the power steering. Im hoping to get into the shop today and maybe throw the u bolts on the front and possibly pull the rear axle and get the ifs toyota one in. I wanted to keep it mobile but i dont really think its mobile now considering theres no knuckles on the front...

Damn them 38's look right at home on the ZOOK!!

Do you have the whole set of 44Hawgs??
