i once chased an electrical problem for weeks myself. replaced the grounds going to the starter and to the block, nothing. on whim, i decided to have the alternator tested and that was it.

lol thats like my buddys mazda that we swapped the toyota drivetrain into we ran like 3 trails and a few shake down runs with it and all was good but he had to charge the battry every week and we didnt know why. turns out he didnt wire in the alternator lol.we hadnt wired in the gauges yet so we didnt see that it wasnt charging

Hey guys look what wandered onto the trailer

yay! It runs! Still not excited about going untested but oh well it's better then not going. Gonna load it up with the camping crap tommorow. Right now is time for sleep.... Somthin that I havnt been able to do lately

kewl, HAVE FUN MAN.

.. well that was the shortest most expensive trip ive ever been on pics up in a bit

LOL, was it fun tho?

alright scince its gonna be a while to upload the pics ill just give you the carnage list. and part of the story.

got into the trail head at about 9pm and went and started in towards our camp with muddin b-3000 heading from camp towards me to meet in the middle. about 40 mins into it all we meet up all is good. so wer head towards the camp i get to the first climb and about half way up i figure its cause i was still in 2wd (had a problem locking in a hub) so i get out and see that my drivers front wheel isnt attached to the truck anymore.

so after chopping down a tree with a borrwed chainsaw we made a skid dragged it about 15 mins back towards the trail head then that was all we could do. so i had to camp there just me and the gf. this was about at 4am by this point. went to sleep on a hillside in the tent right next to the truck cause i didnt want to leave it (theres alot of drunk yah hoos running around those parts)

got up at 7 and another guy from our group came with his 79 f250 on 38"S we jacked the front of my truck up and hooked a big clevis between the bumpers and pulled my truck out like a trailer.

all in all i left my town at 5 pm saturday and returned by 5 pm today the trails are a 3 hr drive from my place. and i managed to break

-fairlead
-winch cable
- spindle nut (one stripped and one stretched out and exploded)
- caliper (dunno when that fell off)
-brake hose (i guess it ripped whenever i lost the caliper)
- all the welds to my winch mount.
- bent my brand new leaf spring on the driver front
- bent shock
- wheel bearings (again dunno when those left, i dunno if they fell out in the washout or while being towed)
- every bit of steering connection is more bent then b4

long story short it sucked... ive had no sleep and the trucks going into my buddys shop tommorow mornin for the toyota axle swap

and a video while being towed

so it ran for a little bit and then a part grenaded? and it was raining? that sucks man

yup ill try and get a pic of the spindle nut but it ovaled out and then snapped in half so it looks kinda like a c that let everything slide off the spindle and screwed me. it only rained the last day leaving though. i did have to camp on a rocky hillside though.. nowhere flat anywhere within site of the truck

JEEZUZ BUDDY! Sounds like a good day of hardcore wheeling to me.... :D

Hey at least you got out wheeling for a bit, that's more than some can say right now.

Mine is ready and we head out in T minus 2 hours for a test beating and my last trip for a few months, hoping it will be another epic trip.....in a good way.

we were on a hillside last time we went camping, it sucked. it rained the first night we were there and we were in a small tent (6'x9'). the rain soaked through the sides that were facing up the hill and everything got wet, it was AWFUL. we're going on level ground next time we go....or maybe i'll get a decent tent.

thats a bigger tent then we had lol oh yea wasnt fun at all.... and bones it wasnt any hardcore wheeling i never even got outta 2wd lol and it only lasted 45 minutes. im goin over to my buddys shop soon to drop the truck off and start swapping things over

Yeah was just razzing ya, but I know how it feels to break big too. Especially when ramping up for a big swap and hoping your rig will last till you have enough money and parts to complete the swap with little down time.

Well, good luck with the swap man, hope it goes well for you. I'm here for tech support if you need any.

ill email you my 3rds so you can set the gears up for me lol
