The Ranger took a break today after its 160 mile trip the other day to checkout a camper shell that turns out wouldn't fit but was a good trip, truck did great, first time taking it out of the area and first time on the freeway since I bought it about a year ago. Love the truck, however I do believe I need to replace the clutch in it here soon or master or slave cylinder as its hard to get into 1st like its not releasing all the way, figured whatever the issue turns out to be I'll be replacing the clutch kit and the master and slave cylinder while its all apart. Picked up a set of 4 wheels with the center caps and almost new tires a couple weeks ago for $140. Wheels need cleaned up but I think well worth the $140 getting them and the tires. I attached a picture of the type of wheels I got.
I was surprised it got right up to 80mph on the freeway had to really watch my speed it didn't take much to get it to go faster than the speed limit. The only thing I need to have done is have the wheels balanced LOL, a bit unbalanced at that speed.
Need to replace the stereo, and a couple of burned out bulbs in the instrument cluster, and the clutch kit but other than that the truck is doing awesome for a 33 year old truck.
My Bronco 2 got new shoes a couple weeks ago, 235/75-R15's, it had 205/75-R15's on it before, completely stock still, no lift needed and no tire scrubbing issues. Needs a replacement stereo as well, and new belts but it so far has been running great since the engine rebuild almost 2 years ago. Winter is coming up so hopefully I'll get some 4WD use in this year, last winter was pretty boring never used the 4WD at all, rather didn't need it but put it in 4WD a couple times just to lube everything. When I had the tires replaced the said the wheels are bent, so apparently the previous owner ran into everything with it LOL. So I'm in search of some wheels now too. I'd like to find a set of wheels the same pattern as the set I found for the Ranger, but the Ranger's are 14's the Bronco 2's are 15's of course.
