The 2011 hauled a new door for the basement and some lumber for other house projects yesterday.

Changed the master cylinder on the '97 tonight and fixed the clutch issues. This new setup compared to the '90 is kinda nifty, the only fastener was one bolt for the reservoir and the roll pin for the pressure line at the master... Quick release didn't give me any drama, bench bled the master and hose in a vise as good as I could (orient reservoir hose up, point piston down a touch, add some weight to the quick release to straighten the hose some then fill the reservoir and pump the master with a screwdriver until solid and bubbles stop) and put it in. Took it for a test drive and there was a little air in there somewhere, put it in neutral and dumped the clutch pedal a few times then a little gravity bleed and it feels great! Lighter pedal feel than before and it engages!

I don't count birthday's anymore...just happy to be looking down at the ground instead of looking up
Installed a Traxion Tailgate ladder. I call it my old man with shot knees ladder. Makes it real easy to get up onto tailgate and into bed.Locks down and is almost unnoticeable when folded away.
Ladder has several adjustment holes in braces so it fits just about any tailgate unless lifted a bunch.
Around $48 bucks on Amazon.

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
Hmm. Nice idea.

Drove 160 miles round trip to go checkout a camper shell for my 87 Ranger which turns out it don't fit a Ranger its about 2 inches too long, luckily I brought a tape measure whoever measured it, didn't measure it right. So, still searching for a Camper Shell for a 7 foot bed Ranger.

The truck did great on the freeway, and if my math is right I got 24.4mpg....160 miles and put 5.54 gallons of fuel in after I got back to town. This is on the freeway at 75-80mph. I thought these bricks weren't capable of anything above 20mpg LOL. I usually get around 20-21 running around town, but I figured running on the freeway at 80mph it would have gotten in the teens. Pretty happy with how the truck is running thanks to ADSM08's suggestion of replacing an O2 sensor to fix my power loss issues a while back....my 33 year old truck is doing great...I think I'll wait till spring to finish the paint job on it by then I'll hopefully decide on whether to keep the lower 1/4 of the truck dark blue or just paint the whole thing white. Thinking of going all white or repainting the blue section black to match the bumpers.

moved a few things around so the truck can be under roof for the winter, Car is leaking fuel from the return line to the tank so it needs to be kept outside anyways. Still waiting on my speedometer gear assortment, been 2 weeks now. wish there was a chart to know which gear went with a tire size & differential ratio. Oh well, try a gear-check against gps, one of them is bound to be right. Put front mud flaps on, it never had any since Ive had the truck and I still had the ones from my ‘93 4x4 that I made years ago. They match the rear ones I also made, all 4 were from a full-size semi trailer mudflap I cut down. Last week I made a impuse buy (ebay) for some wheel skins for the steel winter wheels. Basically chromed plastic that snaps onto the rims and makes it look like you have chrome steel wheels. Was only $60 but certainly not as nice as the m/t classic 2 rims I just took off & put up for the winter, going to work on polishing those up over winter.

If it's not broken Don't Fix It!
Ripped off the knob of the replacement window crank on the driver side the other day....

at $2 and change for cost I figured I'd try and improve upon the flawed design by putting a screw in the back of the knob to stop the flex. I only purchased one more as a test and am still looking for factory ones just in case the fix does not work...

So long drawn out story short.....

Dr. Appointment was in Philadelphia instead of the place 50mins from me.

So after the appointment I was terrorizing Philly light to light with the Ranger and other motorists on the skukyill Express way.

V8 ranger did good. Even on the trip back across the turnpike 2hrs one way. Those 89 stx seat are not as comfortable as they probably use to be.

my speedometer cable gear assortment showed up finally. With a few tries I can have a accurate spedometer & be able to see what my fuel milage is.

Good luck on Craigslist again. Got a second load of bricks for free. Think I now have enough to finish the pad for the trash cans.

Floyd had been sitting in the drive for a couple of weeks.... started right up and ran fine for the 10 mile round trip.

Took the 2011 on a scouting mission for good scenery locations at the local state park so I can do the 2011/2019 Ranger photo shoot for the TRS calendar.
