The Ranger took a break today after its 160 mile trip the other day to checkout a camper shell that turns out wouldn't fit but was a good trip, truck did great, first time taking it out of the area and first time on the freeway since I bought it about a year ago. Love the truck, however I do believe I need to replace the clutch in it here soon or master or slave cylinder as its hard to get into 1st like its not releasing all the way, figured whatever the issue turns out to be I'll be replacing the clutch kit and the master and slave cylinder while its all apart. Picked up a set of 4 wheels with the center caps and almost new tires a couple weeks ago for $140. Wheels need cleaned up but I think well worth the $140 getting them and the tires. I attached a picture of the type of wheels I got.

I was surprised it got right up to 80mph on the freeway had to really watch my speed it didn't take much to get it to go faster than the speed limit. The only thing I need to have done is have the wheels balanced LOL, a bit unbalanced at that speed.

Need to replace the stereo, and a couple of burned out bulbs in the instrument cluster, and the clutch kit but other than that the truck is doing awesome for a 33 year old truck.

My Bronco 2 got new shoes a couple weeks ago, 235/75-R15's, it had 205/75-R15's on it before, completely stock still, no lift needed and no tire scrubbing issues. Needs a replacement stereo as well, and new belts but it so far has been running great since the engine rebuild almost 2 years ago. Winter is coming up so hopefully I'll get some 4WD use in this year, last winter was pretty boring never used the 4WD at all, rather didn't need it but put it in 4WD a couple times just to lube everything. When I had the tires replaced the said the wheels are bent, so apparently the previous owner ran into everything with it LOL. So I'm in search of some wheels now too. I'd like to find a set of wheels the same pattern as the set I found for the Ranger, but the Ranger's are 14's the Bronco 2's are 15's of course.

My credo
the grey-t escape
tried the speedometer gears today, none of them were correct. From what I can tell the “red” gear is the only one that didnt come in the set I ordered. mine had the “white” gear in it and that was the closest to being right but still 10 mph off (55 indicated, 45 actuall) the purple one was the farthest off, showing 70 when actually at 55. My calculations kept giving me a ridiculous number- like 50. Guess I can order a red gear and try that.
I put a small electric heater against the back cab wall between the seats, “back seat heat” it was called, had it in my CJ-7 over 25 years ago. Shouldnt need more heat in a reg cab ranger but this will warm things up faster.

I did an axle swap plus rear disc conversion for Victoria today. She's like a whole different truck now. Went from a 7.5 rear axle with 3.45 gears to a ranger 8.8 axle with 4.10 gears. Brakes work great 'cept the parking brake cables being shot. I can live with that for the moment.

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.

Finished up installing the supercharger on my 2011 yesterday, and did a shakedown this morning.

Little coolant leak from reusing a factory hose clamp, other then looking pretty good

How is the Moddbox plenum pipe? Going to be around the same cost to finish the Caster one I have, versus ordering the Moddbox one.

Pipe that goes from the blower to the throttle body.
anodized Aluminium, solid pieces. No machined oring slots anywhere. Moddbox recommends black RTV. could make your own paper gasket if you want.

There are a few things I’m not a fan of with the kit, but nothing really concerning the quality, just the layout.

Took pictures of them both for the calendar. I figure I posted the picture enough elsewhere to not need to post it here too.

Just the right size to touch the ground.

Like @Roert42 said, the Moddbox parts are quality. I would probably make a few design changes if I were building them, but there's nothing wrong with the parts themselves

Getting ready to rebuild a steering gear I had in a different truck. Hopefully it won't have alot of slop like mine.

Had the Valvoline Instant Oil Change place change out the lube in the front and rear differentials (2002 4WD XLT). Cost was $141 ($80 each but 25% discount for two). There were some metal flakes on the rear differential fill plug. Hopefully not unexpected for 141,000 miles on the truck.
