When we was doing our V8 conversion the regular remote oil filter adapter wasnt user friendly as the steering box was in the way. So i started doing some research and found this one it cost 75 bucks and shipping was free. We had to grind a little clearance for the nut on the gear box.

Heres the link its the 90 degree rotating one.

#22-595 Ford, Mopar, and applications with 3/4-16 Thread & a 2-5/8" standard seal.
$75.00 sounds a little pricey compared to Permacools 2791 for about $20.00. But, Canton makes a good quality product. If you select the Canton (or the Ford), you might need to install and tighten it in the position you want it in, prior to setting the engine on the mounts. I've heard a couple of guys complain about the Permacools oring blowing out, but others have sung its praises. Which ever route you choose, I highly recommend that you fit it with hydraulic hoses with -8 (1/2") AN-style fittings. Again, its a little pricey, but much better quality than the cheesy barbed fittings and screwclamps. Personally, I'm using the Permacool with hydraulic hoses.
FRPP (Motorsports) used to sell an adapter similar to Cantons, Part# M-6880-C50, $60.00 (last time I looked). I think it was in the 2007 catalog - don't see it in the 2008. You might call you're local Ford Dealership/Parts Dept. Just be aware that not all Ford Parts Depts. carry Performance Parts. I'm sure they could head you in the right direction though. Oddly enough the Ford part # is (was) cheaper than Cantons.

Here's a thread, on RPS, where we discussed oil filter relocation:

While you are there, view my photo gallery. I posted pics of my oil filter arrangement. Not that yours has to be the same. Hope this helps.

I'm using the Permacool/Trans-Dapt adapter with hydraulic hoses. It's more than reliable enough, the O ring seals for years. Just make sure it's tightened fully before dropping the engine in place (hoses screwed in place too) The only complaint is it's damn near impossible to find a replacement O ring on short notice.(this is only a problem if you're pulling the motor, you need to order an O ring well in advance to have it on hand when needed) You can also make a copper gasket to replace the O ring, I've done this once, it worked as well as the O ring.
