at first i wondered if that may be what it was,but it looked like it was cut with a zipcut.shows what i know

Tom, don't feel bad....I thought the same thing, but went further...I told him to weld the sprocket back together and just grind it down rather than buy another one...

Sprocket is 2 piece for quick gear change.........but the hub that it bolts to isn't.
The new one will be though....lol....going to make it that way when it gets here!
I don't want to tear the whole axle apart.

so how might one build a 4wd gocart? i wanna build one to take hunting, but where i go hunting is borderline swamp land in eastern NC. i think 4wd would help

uh....buy a quad.


i'm all for building stuff,but there's just so many good quads out there,and used ones are pretty cheap.

good point, i guess a 4wd go cart would just be a quad with a roll cage, like those ones they have now with the mini bed in the back

ya,those things are turning into trucks....they get bigger and bigger all the time.

I thought about the 4x4 Kart also.
A customer of mine has a Lawnmower/4 wheeler repair shop,has a bunch of junk 4x4 quads and he has a few old Polaris 2 stroke 's in the bone yard.They would be the best donor because the trans with the front drive shaft out put is separate from the engine.The trans and T-case are all together,that would give you forward/reverse with high and low range.You could use the front Diff and axles as well as the A arms,spindles, front shocks.
That way you could use the comet style varible speed clutch setup like on the Kart I have.


I think I want to build mini 4X4's...lol!
