I would love to see a NA V6... in both the Bronco and the Next Gen Ranger. They seem to be pretty stuck on the turbo engines though, I would rather not have all the plumbing and 300 HP... am I dreaming again?
No.

There are 300 hp n/a nano engines on the bench. Whether or not production happens?????¿

The inline 3.0 six is what needs to happen.....gas turbo and td.....

You certainly can do a lot of stuff with IFS, look at Toyota. Heck, Ford could have used the TTB also. I just don't think the aftermarket support is going to be there.

Wow. I won't bet on that.

Well, I saw my 1st new Bronco yesterday. I'm sad to report that Ford FAILED miserably. Now before you get all you panties in a tiff, hear me out. Back the 60s when Broncos/Blazers/Scouts etc. came out it was to compete against Jeep. I'm not saying Jeeps are the best thing out there but they have been leading the way in the category of off-highway enjoyment. Late 70s Toyota decided to play with 4x4 pickup in 79 ish. Yes there have been others playing with the market but never really did much. Most tried with their versions of IFS, Jeeps/Toys still had straight axles, and yes Ford had the TTB axle. Full size vehicles still had the solid axles so aftermarket support was still there. By the 90s IFS was prominent and Jeep was the only OHV based vehicle to have the solid axle still. Yes, Dodge truck and Ford HDs had them but they are not "meant" to be an OHV. Blazer/Bronco/Ramcharger days were numbered.

In 19/20 GM brought back the Blazer and failed, Bronco came out and failed. Why, both makers had the chance to build a vehicle to compete with Jeeps and the OHV market and brought out these manbun yuppie vehicles. From the looks of pictures of the suspension it not very modifiable. But IMO aftermarket support is not going to be there. I really wouldn't be surprised if Ram comes out with a new Ramcharger that is modifiable, but Jeep is part of them so maybe not.

Ford and GM had the chance to compete, when I first heard of the new Bronco coming out there where suggestions of a solid axle in the front, I was all over it searching the net looking for pictures/teasers.

I know they were only CADs but IMO they had huge potential for the OHV market and aftermarket support I'm sure would have been all over it. Now they have this

View attachment 57939

It's a great looking vehicle, but I think its not going to get what Ford had hoped for. They should have kept the solid axle. Just my $.02.

There were more ifs broncos built then anything.

The 2.9 bronco 2 would whoop any Jeeps ass to that point......

The raptor should be your bar for ifs.

Think those lines for bronco support.

All of the "mall mom" jeep fans want a better handling jeep....the boom 🤯 n 4dr sales was not a coincidence.....2 drs is what killed the bronco. There is 1 straight axle idiot like me to 20k mall mom's.

They eventually will have one.

Regardless....won't surprise me if there will be solid axle options and ifs for Jeeps....

With electric powertrains....gonna get interesting.

@dvdswan you do realize the Bronco Sport is a little Bronco and the Bronco is larger right? The Bronco Sport is to the Bronco what the Bronco II is to the fullsize Bronco.

This one is still my favorite:

Also check out:

I had no idea there were 2 Broncos. I guess this whole time I've been seeing the Bronco Sport and not the full-size and thinking they were the same vehicle. They really are close in similarity. The sport model doesn't come with the Sasquatch Pkg that I could see though. But it does have 7 GOAT modes for the t/case...

I have to admit this is a bad ass Bronco and as I said earlier, Ford did finally do their homework. As for the aftermarket support, if it was only the sport model that they had I could see it. But with the full-size and sport model it will be there. GM failed miserably with the Blazer, they want to cater to the moms of the world and there is no aftermarket support for them. I guess thinking that the Sport was the only model and the size of the blazer I didn't see it going anywhere. I didn't look into researching about the new Bronco as it was just another model for the moms.

So, with a full stomach of crow, I humbly apologize to all for misjudging Ford on this project. This is going to send OHV market into huge amusement ride and everyone is going to want to get on.

The Sport is based off the Escape, the Bronco Sport is to the Bronco like the Renegade is to the Wrangler.

I do wonder how much the Sport is going to hurt the Bronco.

Lots of people are seeing them running around and thinking they are "The Bronco"

We have heard it a lot by pretty much everybody that knows we have a Bronco ordered.

"Hey we saw a Bronco like what you are getting running around yesterday!"

"No you didn't" :c-n:

I’ve got nothing against the Sport, my wife even has one on order, but they shouldn’t have released it until about a year after the real Bronco came out. Ford should know people aren’t smart and would confuse the 2.

Same, I would much rather have a Sport than an Escape.

Ford had put out some turds recently, I don’t blame her.

Girlfriend had an escape they recently got stolen, blessing. Thing only had like 60,000miles, and more problems then any other vehicle I’ve ever had. Common issue was random electrical modules going bad and making the car take a shit, but it could be any one of the various $2000 computers, take your pick and see if it fixes it.

Certainly wouldn’t buy a Bronco Sport if it is based off that pos.
