I'm guessing that you haven't done any mods to your truck because you have mentioned none. If the truck is stock you will not be able to lower with blocks. Rangers come from the factory as what is called leaf over or axle under. This means that the leaf spring sit on top of the rear axle and if you put blocks between there you will raise it rather than lowering it.

You cheapest way to lower is going to be a hangar flip which is good for about 1.5-2" and only costs time and grade 8 hardware if you have the tools for the job. To find out more there is an article on this and other lowering options in the Tech Library.

it's mostly stock the only things ive done is open air intake and custom exhaust, reupholstered the interior and and some paint. well and a system.

i know how to flip i just wasn't sure with the whole pinion angle correction.
The djm's i was looking at that said they'd fit didn't have that and that what everyone says to use.

i have a buddy thats setting me up with a pair of modified control arms and drop coils.

Your sentence that starts "The djm's I was looking at" makes no sense to me... Punctuation would help me understand it better.

DJM has a great kit and you won't have to worry about pinion angle by flipping shackles or flipping your axle to where it sits on top of your springs.

DJM sells a 5" flip kit and a 3" flip kit. The 3" kit flips the axle and then uses a shackle to lift the rear 2" to put the truck at a 3" drop. I would be very sceptical to a set of modifies control arms, they may or may not align correctly. I would also make sure they are welded good. I would also make sure the coils are drop coils and not cut coils.
