It's probably been asked before but I'm going to beat that dead horse a bit more. Does anyone know of anyone who makes custom chips for EEC-IV? Anyone to avoid? Looking to swap to larger injectors due to the stock ones not supplying enough fuel for what I'm doing. If anyone here does such things I'd also be open to going down that avenue also.

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
Not sure what you have in mind. But it might be good to use megasquirt or microsquirt as your ecu.

I have a film from my childhood that can prove you wrong....
Which part? That dinosaurs are extinct? Or that dinosaurs can't be taught new tricks?

If you have a film from your childhood that can prove me wrong, you must be REALLY old!

One of these days I'll find the cd that my dad made for me from tapes and figure out how to upload it for you. I was about 3 or 4 years old at the time and it made a big impression on me!

If I were to teach a dinosaur a new trick, I’d teach a T-Rex to use grabbers.

Just swap the injectors. Or did you and it is leaning out?

When...say for example we went from 200 to 300+ hp with HCI swap on a 306 freshen up, 30 pounders we're a bit lean on top and tad rich at idle with base map .. generally speaking. Tweecer and moates quarter horse were able to dial in within reason. When running on a 351some mix and match could get close. With boost though ... Need to tune.

For money. And reliability... Megasquirt

Or adapt ee6 or later with a hp tuners or something.

Hi. I run megasquirt on a 2.9.

My software is available in one of the threads on here.

Use megasquirt. You will not regret it.

Literally best piece of aftermarket automotive technology out there.

It's where I plan to go next, if I can't get where I want with a piggyback setup

I will be swapping the injectors once I can get a base tune worked out, just need to find someone to do that, which I may have found, but time will tell. I'd like to stay away from megasquirt for the time being, might be a stupid idea but time will tell. I am trying to keep the truck so I can order replacement parts from any parts store. Truck is supercharged and once I get above about 3psi I run out of fuel from stock injectors (as the math told me I would) have bigger injectors to install which should solve that problem though. I had someone lined up to do it but I was ghosted by the guy so the search continues.

Or adapt ee6 or later with a hp tuners or something.

Probably easier to get Megasquirt parts off the internet than a reman 30yo PCM's from a parts store or find somebody who can tune OBD1 stuff remotely.

I keep mulling Megasqurting a GM TBI for my 302.
