Well I guess I spoke too soon. I was moving my percolator collection to a new shelf in the basement tonight and found a live mouse in one of my case iron skillets. He pissed and pooped in it too.

I really had a moment of confusion. What do I do? It's not moving. Do I squish it? Shoot it? Skewer it with a bayonet that was on the workbench? I threw a washcloth on it and grabbed it and tossed it outside into the street. My youngest cat was on the chair across the room watching the whole deal. Time to put some traps out.

Was it manufactured by Logitech? Or Microsoft? You should see a label across it's back.

You should have give him a glue mat trap and demand he go stand on it... then watch him suffer. You simply don't mess with the cast iron cookware!

Its probably better to be self deprecating than self defecating.

Glue traps... man.. my mother USED to use those in her basement. She eventually got too creeped out by finding that the mice would get stuck on them and then just chew their own legs off to escape lol. Brutal.

My favorite mouse trap that i've used is this one I got off amazon that shocks them. Has a bait in the back and it blasts them when they get in. I used it on chipmunks very effectively as well with a combo of peanut butter and bird seed

I didn't ask for your life story, just answer the question!
Mix cement and sugar in a bowl and leave it in a covered area. They will eat it and the cement will harden in their stomach.

The problem I have with poisoning them, or feeding them cement, is that they can waltz off and go die in your wall.

Last thing I need is a bunch of dead mice dying in my walls sinking up the place.

Just the right size to touch the ground.

Per mouse....
You just have to make sure you get them all in short order. Shock and Awe.

If this works, let me know. I have a shed I can't use for anything much anymore due to it being overrun with the $#@%?& rodents. I've gotten rid of them (or at least most of them) twice and they keep coming back.
