Cuz this punk hasn't started one yet, I'll just do it for him.

Hopefully he actually sees it.

:thefinger:

This will give him a place to ask all his random questions too.

I like this build so maybe someone else will too, it's a slow one and I stole all the pics off of his myspace....

Current State:
Extended cab on standard cab longbed frame, bobbed bed, 3" body lift, 31x10.50's. 4.ooohhh swap in progress, along with 8.8/d35 swap.

5.13's/6" lift/36's?(?) to come... eventually :icon_twisted:

on to some pics.

History lesson:

When it still ran:

Current state of affairs:

I'll let him take over from here if he can ever figure out such things as forum etiquette and how to use this amazing interwebs thing :thefinger:

Just playin man, had to get ya started.

That is actually my truck, but my dear bro wanted to start a build thread for me. The truck is a work in progress.

Well let me start with what plans I have, but we all know plans can changed!!! Well it started life as a 86 ford ranger 4x4 standard cab long box with the infamous 2.9 v-6 5 speed tranny and manual transfer case. Now then it went through a make over..... Now it is an 86 ford ranger ex-cab on a standard cab frame. Then the 2.9 got to weak, so it came out and now a 1991 4.0 v-6 is in it. I am putting another 5 speed tranny in it and hooking back up my manual transfer case. It has a 3 inch body lift, and I just got a 6 inch superlift with extended radius arms. I am also putting a 2 inch coil spacer and doing different shackles on the rear. Am puttin a explorer rear spring conversion in the back. Also I am in the process of putting the 8.8 rear end under the rear. It has 3.27's under it. Going to be put in 5.13's in it. Also getting ready to yank out the dana 28 front and put the dana 35 under it. Pulled out the whole dash and doing a 2 gen conversion, but leaving the 1 st gen on the outside. LOVE THE 1st GEN body style. Have a electric fan behind the new 4 core radiator. Will post more pictures as I continue the build.

I was thinking about doing this to my truck at one time. Nice to see how it might turn out.
