just bought an 88 ranger 2.9 .On the second day i had it it died like you shut the key off ,crank but no spark.Towed it home installed tfi module on distributor, ran fine for a couple days, then died same as the first time, again no spark.Towed home disconnected positive cable and twisted inertia switch wires together, truck started and ran fine, thinking i had fixed it i started it and shut it off several times, i left the house ,it did a repeat of the dying no start. After pulling positive cable off of battery it started right up and runs fine, anyone know where to start looking to solve this.?

Look at the black wire comming of the negative terminal the one that has the quick disconnect. Make sure it's not broke in anyway and that it stays grounded
