Have a line on a set but I'm not sure what I want, I'm only off-roading my B2, no street time, and need some good tires for wheeling, someone offered Thornbirds, but is that a good tire for off-road only, or is it more of an A/T ?

Thanks.

If you will only be doing off roading I would look into something more aggressive. Ive talked to people that have run them and they say they do alright but a swamper would be better. But hey, if you can get them for cheap go for it.

Alright, I think I'll just hold off for something more agressive.

Yes i iwould hold off unless they are really really cheap. I have used them on and off road and they are not very good tires.

stay away from them. especially if it's off road only. You will never, ever hear the end of it. They suck. I'd rather run bfg a/t's.

I've heard if you take a groover to them and open the tread up some, they do relatively OK...

Best use for them i've seen is a guy that planted tomatoes in them in his yard.

Bingo.
People have said they are decent on sand or rocks but mostly they suck. Lousy in mud and dirt, wear fast and funny on the street, impossible to balance, and downright dangerous in rain. They are best used on poser trucks and soaked in Armor All.
