Is the 2.3 gas parts compatible with the 2.2 diesel? Fuel injection, camshaft and pistons?

I didn't ask for your life story, just answer the question!

You may find a few random bolts that interchange.

Welcome to TRS :)

I think he was asking about the gas tank, fuel lines and fuel pump(s)

Fuel tank is fine if cleaned out, not sure about the pumps, I would think no, but might depend on the YEAR of the Ranger 2.3l

Diesels are all injected and most have a mechanical pump injector set up on the engine with a larger fuel filter
No sure what the suction is on that and if it can Lift the diesel fuel out of a tank, I would think so

No hard parts of the engine will interchange.

He did kind of specifically ask about cam shafts and pistons.
