Scratch that, been reading seems like using one antenna is the better choice. Would mounting in on the roll bar cause me issues, as far as interference or would it limit my range?

IMO, I don't think it would, because if you mounted it up high the antenna would be clear of the interference of your cab, but you would have to watch out for low hangin tree limbs as to not run the risk of breaking the antenna.

I was trying to find a good antenna that wasn't made out of fiberglass for this reason. What are some good flexible antennas?

Wilson "Lil Wil", 1000, 2000, 5000, all of those are good non-fiberglass antennas.

Use a good stainless steel spring for flex, and if you want to mount it permanently in the roof, use a circular saw blade underneath. I used an old metal cutting blade.

I kind of frakensteined my 4' whip together, the 3" base is from an old radio shack antenna and the whip itself is from a K40 Trucker antenna, but it works.

Scotty J, what your step son suggested sounds like a winning combination, BTW Cobra 29s, Wilson sntennas, and Roadking Mics are a pretty common setup in this part of the country.
