There are people that rig these up on a roof rack to use as a roof top tent. Also saw where they put them across bed rails in a pick up.
That's interesting, I don't know that I ever really looked at that specific brand. Although it does say in their product manual not to expose them to anything other then very light rain, and keep them off the ground if it's wet.
I've seen insulated/waterproof covers for 12 volt coolers. Just have to keep the vents open to vent the workings.
Explorer Bear also makes a 12 qt one... you could just keep it in the cab.
That's what just what I need, an electric lunch box full of beer in my passenger seat. lol
