In Canada the best price I've found is at Basspro.com.
Best quality for hard jugs too, tho I bought an expandable water jug with hose for shower and it doesn't haven't a secondary fill port, which I like.

What do folks here use for water storage?

I'm looking at a couple options and I really don't want a bladder or even a large tank.

I'm thinking 5 gallons or 20 liters would be enough for 3 or 4 days if I start with say 10 bottles in the cooler.

These are spendy but what else isn't these days. Two of these would sit side by side in one of my RIDGID crates with room for tea kettle and other stuff.

I'm thinking 5 gallon Jerry style plastic jugs. They are specifically marked water on them so there is no confusion and have a relatively narrow profile. I think I can fit them in front or behind the wheel wells and use the platform I'm going to build to hold them in place. I figure two of those and two fuel Jerry cans would be good. Though, I may need to rethink the placement of the fuel cans since there may be an issue with fuel fumes. I'm trying to avoid a roof basket if I can.

Stand in rain.
Tilt head back with mouth wide open and drink while taking shower in the rain.
This should be done daily.

I have a box full of single wall stainless steel 1L bottles so I can boil water in them if need be. And a blue cube looking 5 gallon with a spigot on it. And I have a bunch of 2L pop bottles that end up empty relatively fast and lastly, I have some water bags tucked away somewhere as a last resort if I have to walk somewhere and get water

That’s fine if you’re around civilization, but sometimes overlanding is about staying away from civilization for a few days.

No campground... might be 3 days before you come off the trail.

Yeah... I totally agree. Many ways this could be handled. There is also a good chance when I refill my jug(s)... I do it with gallons of water I bought at the grocery store.

I'm looking for more of a "system" that packs well... easily secured against bouncing around while trail riding. I'm committed to RIDGID portable tool boxes... I made that choice several years ago. So... I'm willing to pay up a bit for the components that fit into that system.

I did consider those.

I thought this had a bottom in it... no bottom. So I suppose digging a small hole and not using a biodegradable bag is an option too.
